Warm weather during the past three weeks has brought an upsurge in the New Jersey deer tick population and an increased risk for state residents of catching Lyme disease, according to a report in The Record. The report said an informal survey of North Jersey medical facilities didn't find increases cases of Lyme, but state veterinarians reporting a rise in infections among dogs.
